You will find in excess of 350,000 titles from independent book dealers listed on this site. You can search using the above form or, if you prefer, use our power search form here.
I keep a small selection of stock at the Post Office in Peasedown St. John and you can get an idea of what's in stock at any time by clicking here.
As well as thousands of second hand and out of print books, I offer a range of bibliographies, free book valuations, you can sell your books through the site if you're a dealer and a free book search service.
Established in 1997, BookLovers.co.uk is owned by David Gower-Spence and operated from within the Post Office in the Somerset village of Peasedown St. John. Along with my wife, Heather, we run the business for lovers of books of whatever vintage or genre.
Originally this site was purely a place to sell my own books, but in 2005 I decided that it might be nice to welcome a few like-minded independent book sellers onto the site. Currently I have over fifty such sellers listing some 350,000 titles for your delectation. Of course, the world doesn't really need another "book dealer aggregating" site... that's why I call this a Book Sellers Portmanteau... which is nice!
We relocated from Abingdon in 2002, when we bought the village Post Office in Peasedown St. John, and now house my books in a 2,000 sq. ft. warehouse in the hamlet of Oakhill. Within the Post Office I keep an eclectic selection of some 1,000 books that are offered at discounted prices. The complete stock is changed every two to three weeks, so if you're passing through why not stop in to see what gems are currently on offer? There's always a mixture of modern first editions, paperback fiction and a range of eccentric titles to choose from.
