Fiction Addiction is a used bookstore in the Patchwork Plaza Shopping
Center on the East Side of Greenville, SC. Our address is 3795 E. North
St, Ste 9, Greenville, SC 29615.
We sell used fiction of all flavors, including science fiction
& fantasy, horror, mysteries & thrillers, children's &
young adult, romance, contemporary fiction & literature,
mass-market paperbacks, trade paperbacks, hardcovers, audiobooks, and
collectibles.
We also carry a small selection of new books and a variety of gift items for booklovers.
Fiction Addiction has comfortable seating, sections with
recommendations and award winners, and a friendly staff, creating an
environment we hope will encourage booklovers to return again and
again.
TRADE-INS AND DONATIONS
Trade-ins and/or donations are welcome and do not require an
appointment. If you have more than one bag of books to trade, though,
please try to arrive before 5:30pm.
We accept paperbacks, hardcovers, and audiobooks. We take fiction
and despite the name even nonfiction. Adult hardcovers must have their
dust jackets. We do not accept Advance Reading Copies, books in poor
condition (clipped corners, loose pages), or most category romances
(i.e., Harlequins, Silhouettes).
Our needs change from day to day depend on current demand and
inventory levels. You are welcome to bring everything you have and
we'll let you know what we can and cannot use. Any books we cannot use,
we can donate for you to The Friends of the Greenville County Library.
Tax receipts are available upon request.
We give 20% of the original cover price in trade credit for
paperbacks (up to $2.00), and current trade hardcovers (less than 6
months old). For older hardcovers and bookclub editions, we give $2.00
each. For audiobooks, we give 10% of the original cover price.
Trade credit can be used to purchase anything in the store,
including new books, and you may pay for your entire purchase
(including sales tax) using your trade credit. You may save your credit
and spend it at a later date; it will be valid for as long as we are in
business.
We pay cash only for occasional large collections (200+ books), such
as science fiction or historical seafaring. If you have a collection
you'd like to sell, please call 864-609-9394 and make an appointment.
OUR HISTORY
Fiction Addiction opened its doors on May 7, 2001.
The owner, Jill Hendrix (nee McFarlane), grew up in Greenville but
had been living in New York City for the past 5 1/2 years before
opening Fiction Addiction. She has worked for the Editorial department
of St. Martin's Press and is an avid reader.
